car won't start?!?!
My '86 N/A won't start. I have spark and fuel, but the thing just keeps turning and won't start up. I'm not sure about compression, but from the sound of the engine, Im getting the normal pffft pffft pffft sound. I just don't see how I could lose compression by driving lightly.
I have had flooding problems before, could it be extremely flooded? Any help would be great, don't want to lose my FC.

hey check dis, I also have a 86 rx and it likes to flood alot. What u should be able to do is turn ur key to acc, hold the pedal down to the floor for about 5sec. then crank it till it starts. If it doesn't start after 10sec. quit so u don't possibly damage the starter. Try it a few times and it should crank over. Once u do get it started be sure to rev the engine to at least 3grand for a couple of seconds, u will probably see som nice . Good luck!

Good luck!

If its lightly flooded, all you have to do is pull the EGI INJ fuse, I think, from the engine bay fuse box. Crank over the engine for a couple seconds, then go back and put the fuse back in. It should start up after that.
Theres a more complicated procedure for more severe flooding, but I can't think of it offhand. Just search for "unflooding" or something like that.
If flooding is your problem then consider putting in a fuel cut switch or if you're not too good with electronics then you could buy the fuel pressure reliever from Mazdatrix to stop the flooding.

I gotta wait for daylight to take the pics, but wiring it is very easy... You have a fuel pump relay, situated on the right hand side of your steering column...It has yellow coloring on it. All you need to do is splice into the black wire you will see which one when I post the pics. I put my switch into the center console, there is a good ground bolt that sits below the console that you can use. Basically you get a 3-pole switch. 2 poles are for the fuel relay, and one pole is for ground.

Okay, its kinda hard to get pics of the relay itself...But here it is. The circle is the black wire with the white stripe. You have to dyke it apart, and this isnt fun cause its cramped under the dash. Then you have to splice 2 wires that are long enough to reach the switch. So here is the first pic
