car wont start out of nowhere. engine turns (starter works its getting fuel it been like this since yesterday could it be flooded? cause i just replaced the plugs but it doesnt even want to try the engine just spins no sputtering or anything. There was nothing wrong with it befor (no loss of power ... though it does only get 13-15 mp/gal wich isnt good for a na but i just replaced the plugs cause ithough they might be contributing and they were pretty bad) so im thinkin it might need the auto fluid trick what do u guys think?

 

also check your O2 sensor, that could be your bad mpg as well. before you try the atf trick, take out the bottom sparkplugs, take out the fuel fuse, and crank it over, see if any fuel comes out.

exactally when did you replace the spark plugs, and did you drive with them or did you just replace and go back into the house. did you put them in right? did you put the wires back on right?

 

Dont use ATF until you really need to. Replace your spark plugs and 02 sensor. Most likely flooded. Pull your fuse for the fuel injection, crank the motor for alittle, then put it back in. If its flooded, this will unflood it.

 

but he just replaced his spark plugs
if anything he needs to replace the wires aswell.

 

it wouldnt start and it needed new plugs too begin with so i took my parents car (shudder) went got plugswent home replaced them and yes all the wires went too the right spots (i marked them as they came out) tryed too start her did the same thing. P.S. wheres that sensor at (generaly)

 

ill try the unflooding thing.

 

so it was not turning on before the new plugs? yes, try to drain it, and the O2 sensor is on the exhaust, if you look under the front passenger wheel, you will see it sticking into the exhaust, it could be ripped, like mine, or just time to go.
when was the last time anything was ever changed on the car?
what kind of sparkplugs did you get?

okay did the unflooding thing it tried too start (almost did once) and atleast sputters now but still jus wont start the plugs are ngk's and the sensor wire is fine cause that happened before and i rewired it so thats fine still but it jus wont start on another note i think the compression is fine from the ear test when i was unflooding it it sounded like some sorta pump/train ohh and no fluid came out but some fumes did and i removed the eng inj fuse was that the right one?

 

its like right on the edge of starting but just wont it shudders a bit like its about to come alive then doesnt (the hole time holding keyin start place it never comes on too the point where i can stop the starter

 

Have you tried push starting it? Might help.

 

not enough room unless i get on the main road and thats real steep so if it doesnt work im kindah screwed

turn key same thing, turn key again same thing, turn key step on gas still wouldnt quite make it, turn key push gas a little better again but not quite, jus turn key fired up real nice and reves smoother now (probaly the new spark plugs!!
