OK, so my cars been apart for abour 2 months while I was porting the intake manifold. I did a extremely conservative poring job, probably only like 5mm out all around each runner. Anyways, I put it all back together today, and went to start it, and the car fired right up, first crank like it always has, and since it was cold sat idling at about 2000rpm for a few minutes, but as soon as it started to warm up and the idle came down, the car just stalled. I was like WTF??
Ok, so I start it again, and held the gas down, and as long as I kept the car above 1500 rpm, it runs fine, but any lower and it stumbles and stutters and stalls out. I thought that I must have missed a vacuum line somewhere, so I looked around for like an hour under the hood but found nothing. And would a off vacuum line actually make the car not idle at all, I know it may give it a rough idle, but to actually stall out? Oh, and my GF who was with me at the time said that when I revved up to like 7k then let off I'd shoot small flames out the exhaust, which I didnt think was possible with a cat, so this might be a clue to whats wrong?? So now I humble myslef before you all, please give me any ideas to as what may be wrong.

??????????
My friend had the same prob in his Turbo II. The problem was the intake hose to the turbo was cracked. Fixed that and no more prob. You might want to check your intake hose and double check everything else. Hope this helps.
Im havin the same problem right now. Did u put a new gasket on the intake manifold? if so did u get all, i mean ALL, of the old gasket off... If u didn't that may cause a bad seal...

well. I ordered all new gaskets,. but I saw that the one that was between the upper and lower moanifold was still on there, with no cracks or anything so I left that on there, but I did rreplace the rest of them, and yes I scraped all the old gasket off. Thanks for the help, anyone else?? This is really weird. I guess ill go check all my vacuum lines again, had to call it a night yesterday because someone called complaining about my car being too loud and waking them up.?? It was only 9:30
idiots. Ok , well thanks again. Oh , and does anyone have any idea why my car shot flames like it did, like I said I have a cat so I didnt think that was possible.

To answer the flames question. When I dyno'd my car some people commented that small flames shot out of my exhaust. I have guitted pre-cats, but a high-flow cat. I didn't think it was possible either.
My experience with N/A cars is that one 4mm vac line will not cause the engine to stall(if everything else is OK).The big air pipe going to the BAC valve will.My guess woud be that the manifold gasket(at the motor is leaking).Check by spraying carb cleaner around the flange while running the engine, rpm will climb if there is a leak.
