im not sure if anyone else has this promblem and i tried seachering and found nothing on it. so flame me if you must i just need some advice. well i have a 88. the car sounds like it is about to turn over but never does on its on. it will start with started fluid but a few seconds later will just cut off. do i have a vacum hose leak, is my afm bad im lost. i do have spark and i am getting fuel from what it seems. fuel leaks out when i pull the fuel line off the engine. please help i need my car to get running i have no other

 

If you have a vacuum leak then the car will not start. Especially if its severe enough.

 

Also make sure your fuel pump is working, and that your EGI fuse isn't blown. That happened to me one day, I had a wire that was grounding out the EGI fuse and blowing it, which caused me to not get any fuel.
