Question Car Wags its tail

Hey guys. Now that our '87 TII is runnin' good, I'm so happy. Apparently, so is our car. Every time I shift gears under hard acceleration, she wags her tail (right than left, I believe). It will also do this when the turbo spools up quickly, giving a sudden burst of power (like slammin the gas to the floor cruisin about 3000 rpm). Keith says it happens sometimes when pushing the clutch in, but I haven't noticed that. While I like this quality in dogs, I'm not really comfortable with our car doing it. Anyone have any ideas what's causing this and how to correct it? Thanks.

Check the lateral link - I had a similar problem with my TII when I got it, stomp it and the rear would swing slightly but noticeably to the passenger side. Turned out that the nut on the passenger side lateral link was gone! Put a new nut on and problem went away.

You definetly have something askew in the rear end. Jack it up and check all the links, bushing and wheel bearings. Maybe the short inside links at the front of the trailing arm or the toe bushing? Something is allowing the car to change toe.

My car does this when cornering hard....I think it's the toe control bushing in the rear hubs.
