Help Me!!!
My car is screwed.
I was driving down hiway 14 at about 120kph and i took my foot of the gas and then re-apllied it and the thing was totally bogging and sounding like complete crap. It stalls at stops and is relatively difficult to start. Sounds okay at decelleration but sounds like a really old farm tractor at when giving it gas. Revs pretty slow. Still revs to 7,000, but slowly. I think it may be fuel or ignition related, but not sure. All help would be appreciated.

 

just tested spark plug wires and there is spark. Even more clueless now. HELP ME DAMNIT!!!!

 

Whens the last time you had the 60K services done (plugs, wires, tuneup, fuel filter, etc..)?

Any check engine lights?

 

hmmm do a compression check and do your normal tuneup. maybe atf might help

 

yeah, like vaughnc said....any check engine lights? if it flickers sometimes, it could be a sign of your TPS starting to go bad. mine did when that happened. mine worsened over a 15 hour drive...in the beginning, fine. after 2 hours...it would buck and hesitate around 3K. 3 hours later...wouldn't rev past 5K and had trouble revving freely in neutral. 2 hours later...it wouln't rev past 3K...if it got to that point it would feel like a semi was hitting you from behind (rough ROUGH acceleration)...

buuuut, after i put in a replacement...runs like gold again
