Car struggles to pass 4k rpm at WOT, after a night at the dragstrip!

ok so i went to the dragstrip with my 1988 GXL(Na) but my last run when i got to 2nd gear it dropped to like 3400rpm real fast, then it wouldnt go passed 4k, then on the way home i could get it to go up to almost 5k but it feal like i was slowing down more then accelerating, and its in all gears, but in neutral i rev fine... anyone got any suggestions?

I don't know if this applies to the revving in neutral, but it sounds like you have clogged cats. They can cause problems like that very easily.

You're going to remove the cats? Don't forget about 5th/6th port activation .

bad signal to your secondary injectors.

-check injector clip on secondary injectors(the ones you can see on the manifold)

-bad resistor pack(86-88)

-bad wiring harness(broken contact from injector to resistor pack to computer)

-bad secondary injectors

-bad computer(not likely)

Its most likely the injector clip, probably lost metal retainer clip and worked its way off, and is sometimes making contact.
