Cool car stock, but pshing 40 more hp????

i went to the dyno today. I have a 10th anniv 88' with 26,888 miles on it. Mazda clams that the car has 182hp and 183 tq at the flywheel. And you lose about 20% to the drive shaft. So when i got the results, I got 175hp and 164tq to the wheels. When i should have gotten around 155hp or so. Well the 175hp calculates out to over 210hp!! the car is completely stock. I have a boost gauge, its boosting at 5.5psi, which is stock boost. I am wondering if anyone can tell me why i am pushing out more hp?? I mean i am happy, but its really weird. If there were mods on it it would boost higher. any sugestions???

On a similar note, Mazdatrix claims that 2nd gens N/A should only put out around 90rwhp max. And that their true dual exhaust should boost it up to 120rwhp. But all this time, the dynocharts from our members clearly shows that our stock cars already puts out 120rwhp and not 90rwhp as Mazdatrix claims. So who's right?

146hp stock, with 20% drive train loss that is still 117rwhp, and with 15% loss thats ~125rwhp, mazdatrix claiming 90rwhp is off, that would be about 35-40% drive train loss, 90rwhp isnt right lol, i had a friend that put the true dual on and got a 32.5rwhp gain, he ran auto-x, dont know what other mods he had though

Common # for drivetrain loss is 12-15%. Also, which gear did you get those numbers in? 3rd gear is going to be different than a 4th gear pull.

Same with my 10th. Running 14.7@98.5mph without tire spin (read: BOGGING). Hmmmm..doesn't seem like 180..more like what you're saying 210.

my car has 45,000 miles

My 10AE has 106k on it, pulls 197.6hp at the wheels with 3" exhaust, high flow cat, FCD and HKS intake.

I also did the same thing as you cbrock, 14.7@97 with a MOJOR bogged launch.
