Question car stalls when operating temp is reached, need some ideas

so i decide to wash under the hood of my car for the first time in about a year. afterwards i start it up and when it gets to operating temp it dies. just dead, no stumble, no nothing, which very strange because the car ran flawlessly beforehand. so i figure maybe it just needs to be driven. nope, the same thing happens as im driving, it dies when i put my foot on the clutch as im coming to a stop, and also i feel it stalling as im cruising with my foot on the gas. the pedal becomes usless, till it kinda kicks back in. needless to say since this happened i havent driven it far, just to try and diagnose it. im just pretty much out of ideas on what the problem could be and i need a fresh perspective, any suggestions on what to check would be super helpful.
the car is a 90 TII with a Haltech E11v2, no emissions, no a/c or ps, corksport DP borla xr1 midpipe, gp sports exhaust

thanks!

check the grounds and battery terminals, they could get corroded /contacts rust from the water

how dead of a battery are we talking? the car starts and idles just fine. do you mean like the battery was no start dead, or just going bad? also some more info i forgot to post. i have the laptop hooked up, none of the sensors are reading oddly, and the haltech stays online, so i dont think it has anything to do with the standalone. plugs are new, wires are new mazdatrix ones.

The only significant change I can think of @ operating temp is the fast idle cam (if you even still have it). Even then, I'm not sure how washing the engine bay would affect it.

Plug your laptop into the Haltech and check all the sensor values during the warmup. I'm sure you will see something odd like an ECT that isn't being read, causing injector PW to go way high.
