Car stall when clutch is depressed...

ok...i had this weird problem last year and thought i had solved it. it only occurred sometimes when i am slowing to a stop and i have the clutch pedal depressed. the car would just completely stall. the only way for me to revive it was i would let go of the clutch a bit and try to give it some gas. i thought i had traced the problem to what was a loose connection on the AFM harness. the clip was broken so it would get loose sometimes. well that is now securely in place and it hasnt happened in a long while. but yesterday it happened one time. could this be a possible problem concerning the ground connections? i just can't figure it out anymore. between this and the hot start problems i have w/ the car, it's not even fun to drive anymore for fear of getting stranded somewhere
need help!
TIA

BINGO!
I replaced the bell housing to firewall ground and added an alternator to body ground.
My intermittant stalls went away.
