Help: smoke in cabin while idling
Ok...this freaked me out, late night drive to Taco Bell for some food, when I got there, got in line in the drive thru, 30 seconds of idling all of a sudden I noticed white smoke coming out of the ac/heater vents and from the shift **** and that stopped like 5 seconds later...I could repeat the smoke to a much greater degree while idling and revving the engine (I tested this in my driveway when I was home so I wouldn't get in trouble) it eventually stops and goes away, but I don't think something like that should be normal..
What is going on?

i had the white/gray smoke coming from the passenger side foot area. my issue was the previous owner rigged the fan control selonoid and did a wire bypass, which ended up touching and burn a little of my connector.
no wonder i couldn't figure out why i had no fan or max fan and nothing in between.

^what wayne said.
First thing that shot into my mind was that you had a coolanet leak.. as in the overflow tank. When it was trying to fill it back up, maybe it sprayed onto the engine somehow.. lol just a guess.

it just smells like burning things
I'd have to lean towards the exhaust side because I can replicate the smoke by revving and letting off and then waiting
thats really funny with the cig lighter...yeah...

maybe its the heater core going out? Although those usually just blow completely not slowly over time. Also check your shift boot, maybe its both? Id check shift boot since thats kinda easy and also check for like a coolant smell from behind the dash. Hope this helps, good luck.

we just got done messing with the heater core thats all fine, no coolant leaks, I think I need to change all my shifter bushings and that good stuff, but would that cause smoke to come out of the vents like where cold air would come out of??
Also the test for needing new bushings is lots of heat coming outta the shift **** area and the **** moving around a few inches while in gear right...mine's not sloppy like people describe theirs when they need new bushings which is why I am hesitant..or maybe I just don't know what sloppy is haha

car runs beautifully at high speeds or rpms
if by blower motor you mean AC and such the smoke comes in when its off my AC isn't charged so I don't even use it..
