Hello everyone, unfortunately i cannot run a search right now because my DSL is frigged and my comp. has a virus causing it to time out everytime I try to search...

Anyway, I have two questions...

1.)My car has seems to run be running really rich. Everytime I cold start, a cloud of smoke, that smells straight like gas, comes seeping out of my exhaust. It smokes for about 2-3 minutes, slowly dimenishing. Is this normal? How do I fix it?

2.) My gas gauge has been giving me all kinds of problems lately, it would only read 1/2 full. Recently, I took the fuel pump assembly out and straigtened out the sensor. After that the gauge would read up to 3/4 full. But today, when gauge said that I had 1/4 gas in the car, the low fuel light came on and I ending up running out of gas. Does this problem sound like a problem with the sensor thing that's hooked to the assembly, or could it possibly just be the actual gauge (in the cluster) that is messing up?

Sounds like part of my problem aswell, when i cold start it i have the same symptom, and gas goes real fast in the car

 

Well I dont know, I think I get around 17-19mpg on average. But I just think its because its a rotary. But, any ideas of how to lean it out a bit??? And also, would a clogged cat cause your cat to run rich? I ask because I think my cat is pretty clogged because the 5/6 ports start to open way too early. Any help appreciated...
