Like the title suggests...
I have an '87 TurboII and when I open up the garage door and look at the sucker from behind, it looks like it's leaning to one side (I think the drivers side is lower than the passenger side).
What could cause this?
Another thing, it looks like the drivers side rear tire is toed in a little bit, but none of the suspension pieces look bent, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't in an accident before.
What could cause this?
Finally, when I'm on the freeway (or doing 60+ ish) and going around a right handed curve (and I think sometimes even when not going around a curve) when I hit a bump, the rear end wants to steer a little bit.

Blown shock/worn spring. Does it feel like the rear end kind of hops up and out on you over bumps like the rear end is trying to change lanes without the front? My sport did this (also sat lower on one side) when the shock was wasted, which wore the springs pretty quickly. Made for some interesting driving.

haha, funny this topic popped up. today i had a break between my classes, went to the store and was walking back to my car from the rear when i noticed my car was slated too. just like you mentioned, the driver side seemed lower then the passenger side. i wonder if it had anything to do with all that squeaking sound i kept hearing from my rear driverside wheel housing. im thinking maybe my shock is out and the squeaking is the springs squeaking? what do you think?
guess this gives me reason to upgrade my age-old suspension system.

It could be worn suspension, but part of it is the design of the car. Every FC I've seen was this way, if you checked it closely. IT isnt uncommon for cars...lots of cars naturally sit lower on the drivers side. Don't ask me WHY, I just know that it normally IS that way.

They were talking about the bump steering being bad shocks, not the ride height.
I suppose it could be old springs that have worn out, who knows...

That'd pretty much make sure you didn't have an uneven ride height. In my case, the shock blew out and the spring was basically free to bounce around freely (causing it to wear excessively), which caused that side to sag lower than the other side, new shocks/springs took care of that for me.

I too have this issue, even after installation of new eibach springs and tokico blues on all four corners. The drivers side just sits lower. blah. who knows.
It just very well could be what kevin said. Almost every FC i've seen even if it has new suspension seems to do this. Maybe it's a mazda conspiracy!?!?!??

As for the rear wanting to steer, it very well could be your DTSS bushings, the "rear steer" bushings. My car felt like the rear was steering every time I hit a bump, after I replaced those bushings it stopped. And this was all with worn stock suspension.
