my car idles fine in park it idles a little over a 1000 but as soon as i put it in drive or reverse it shuts off, if i accelate and put it in drive i can drive around but a soon as i come to a full stop the car shuts off. please help. the only was i can drive the car with out shutting off is if i put the idle up to 2900 (i know thats bad for the car). i did the atf trick, and i adjusted my tps sensor. i have about 50psi in each chamber (when i do 1/3 turn), and about 80psi when i do a full turn in each chamber.

 

I am thinking it is something wrong with the tranny.
Too bad you have an auto you should swap. From what I hear the auto's are slow.

 

Im thinking it may be a problem with the BAC, have to tried adjusting that? Im not to up on autos, so im just taking shots in the dark...

 

put a standard in it then I can garentee you it wont stall in drive... maby first or something but not drive lol I would agree with Rx7 guy have you checked the atf level or even try changing it. if anything you will see if there are steel particles in the fluid
