Car sat for awhile, now has rough idle.

Hey guys, my car has been sitting for about 4 months and today I went to start it for the first time and it idles like it is mis firing. It ran fine last time I drove it, I havent had the time to mess with it and today I charged the battery and thats when the problem started.

I am going to get new plugs, are there any other things I should look at (problems that might have accured from sitting too long)

yea replace the plugs, get some fresh gas in it too. check for vac leaks too, maybe something corroded? hard to think it would happen in 4 months though...

yeah thats the plan, I was going to do a whole tune up anyway. I will do the plugs and wires and hope it runs better then after that get the fuel filter and finally get the injectors cleaned. I jad it dynued a year or so ago and it was getting plenty of gas then but every little bit helps.

Either way I need to wait till Saturday to get started I am so impatient, i dont like to wait, especially now that I started on the car.

Primary injector stuck shut? Try lightly tapping them with something. I bought a motor that had been sitting for a while and 3 of the 4 injectors were frozen.

Ok, Changed the plugs and wires today and to my surprise the plugs look pretty damn good, pretty good for a 3+ year old set of plugs in a rotary motor anyway, I also put in fresh gas but alas the problem continues

On the plus side there is no smoke, but that is the only plus right now besides the car starting period.

Rotobugg, tomorrow I plan on checking out the injectors and sometime in the coming weeks I want to get the injectors cleaned. I wonder how much that will cost???

Oh and if I can get a helper I want to make sure I am getting spark to all plugs.
