ok guys im back, with my 86 n/a. Well anyways, i have a new problem... my car is running like ****... when i try starting it, it would crank over but would not fire, and i would smell gas really bad... try starting it again, put my foot on the gas and it would fire up, but with lots of smoke coming out of the exhaust... I think is running too rich and whenever i drive around and pull to a stop i could smell the gas.... also there are times where my car would start up adn idle to 1500 rpm a drops straight to 0 and stall... crank it again and it will do the same thing but it would almost stall but bounce back then almost stall then bounce back... could it be the timing? or something else? pulsation dampener? i dont want my car running rich and i want to fix my idle problem!! help guys

well check your injectors if they are leaky. my friends '86 gx had similar problems when it would sit for a while. get a wideband sensor/guage if you want and check what your afr's are doing when your car stalls or behaves eratically. if you don't want to invest in a wideband, borrow one off your friends.

 

might wanna check your coolant temp sensor if its bad it'll cause this.
