im guessin its not in limp mode because it dosent run for 10 sec it only cranks revs to 3k and stays there for like 2 sec then the check engine light pops on and it dies....dosent matter if you gas the **** out of it either where ever the rpms are when the check engine light comes on it dies from there....like its cutting the gas or somethin

OMG i got to thinking last night....when i had the car i swapped the TPS cause it was bad well the plug acted like it didnt want to reach so i persuaded it to...now it reaches with ease and i found out the harness has been unplugged by the previous owner to regasket the engine. ok i know im throwing the OMP code and TPS code along with the fact i cant get none of the leds to come on through the check connector. i bet money the TPS plug was swapped with the OMP one haha...im gonna swap them out and let yall know what happens

Yeah def let us know if that works. I'm looking at buying an 89 RX-7 that has this problem. There are other threads about this, but none of the OPs ever ended up posting what fixed the problem.

yea me too...i still got the TPS and AFM i got from you on there. dang that AFM is weird, it is fatter and shorter than mine was and the "nipple flapper door" sticks way farther out than mine did but works like a champ.
The relay is almost lined up with the steering column slightly more to the right. it has a black "hat" if you dont hear the relay click behind the pass. headlight then that should be your number one spot to check. swap it for another, s5 NA and TII are interchangeable
