Me and a bud of mine we went out thrashing our cars. 80mph downshift to 2nd led to tires screaching and the rpm buzzer going off, then a hard launch to buzzer over and over. Well on the way back home down the hwy, we wers still kinda playin, i'd run up to redline and let off then do it again shifting occassionaly when i heard a loud BOOM. After that the engine started kinda surging and farting and popping but it make it home ok till i slowed to turn then it died and would not start. It will turn over fine and acts like it wants to start but will not do it. I'll get the occasional backfire and then a lil run but it dies.

Any Ideas???

 

I have an idea...don't downshift it into 2nd going 80

 

maybe the apex blew under the extra pressure from the downshift, and now you have no compresssion
