Car level issue. Plz Help.
Here's my problem. I'm more into DB Draggin then street racing, because Its a pain in the *** doing inspections here in Mass. I currently have, in audio ****, an extra ~250 pounds in the rear of the car. The rear end of the car is near an inch lower then the front end.
What would be the best thing to do, besides taking the audio **** out , to level out the car or even the rear end a bit higher????
BTW its a 88 GXL with electronic Suspension.

Stiffer rear springs, and adjustible shicks in the rear. This will also help give you a lot better traction for the hole shot. (God that sounds just like The F&f!!) Also, if you are drag racing, why not take the audio stuff out for races? Less weight = lower E.T.!!

If i go with coilovers and new struts, will it help me out???? I need to get this done before I finish my audio in the trunk.
Everything is going to be customized into the car.

Should be ok. They need to be pretty stiff though. That is why I say adjustible rear shocks. For racing, set them stiffer, and for street, softer. Duh, I know, but still.

I'm surprised the 50/50 weight ****'s haven't shown up in this thread yet.
Anyway, Rico's right about the rear springs, coil overs are a good bet, but let them know that you want a somewhat stiffer rear spring than they normally provide, to help offset the extra weight of the car.

I have never seen it mentioned here, and I don't know if they are available for the rex, but air shocks might be considered..They will allow you to adjust the rear suspension for what ever you need at the moment.
