Car issues.... please help
Car issues.... please help
Cooling Issues:
Ok, sometimes when I drive my car the "Add coolant" light comes on (often... mostly when stoped and at low RPM's.....)
Also... I start to overheat sometimes... and steam starts to come from my hood.... When I open my hood the reservoir is full and the coolant inside is boiling...
Its very weird... And I dont know wtf to do... Im thinking (but praying its not..) the coolant seal...?
Can someone give me some advise on what to check for please?
Starting problems:
When starting... I turn the key and it goes fine.... but just dosnt turn over... so I pump the gas like a mother ****** and it goes (this happens when i've parked for over 15 mins....)
Anyone got any suggestions for what to look for?

Well the add coolant light is obviously from a low coolant situation.
The overheating doesn't sound good but start off with the small/simple stuff like getting a new radiator cap and thermostat.(only buy mazda cap/tstat)
The starting problem sounds like leaking injectors after you shut down. You have four options 1) leave it and struggle with the problem. 2) Try fuel injector cleaner to help/solve the problem. 3) Install a fuel cut off switch(good in any case). 4) Have the injectors proffessionally cleaner/rebuilt.
Those are in order of difficulty/expense.

Im gonna go buy the cap and thermostat... should I ONLY buy from Mazda dealetship? Will the local "Canadian Tire" not have adewquate ones? lol
My friend told me about problems with leaky injectors in RX7's.... he told me to get a fuel cutoff switch too... are they difficult to do? any writeups / how to's?
Alright... sounds good... now I got something to do this week in school! lol
Tell you what... Before you go changing parts like Santiago told you to, you should do a simple check.
My experience tells me (and you might not want to hear this), but your symptoms equate to a blown coolant seal.
Do this check:
Fill coolant system ALL THE WAY UP (engine cold). Make sure that the fluid level is as high as you can get it. Leave the filler cap off. Remove the EGI fuse. Crank the motor (it should not start). If you get a LARGE amount of coolant coming out of the coolant fill, its safe to assume your coolant seals are blown. Also, a good indication is a fuel/exhaust smell in the coolant.

The seal between combustion gasses & water jacket is a rubber O-ring in a groove all the way around the aluminum housing.
If it leaks you get coolant in the combustion chamber and overheating symptoms, just like a blown head gasket in a piston engine.
I have had this happen, and was able to patch it with radiator stop leak.
I caught it early, before there was too much erosion of the O-ring.
The short version:
Hard to start, catches & sputters, blows white smoke, then clears up & runs OK.
To fix:
Good coolant flush, add half the stop leak, idle warm up to full temp, shut off & cool down cold, (repeat)
Do a search under "block weld".
Many have had good luck with that product & there is a good write up on the forum using it.
