Question Car I am looking at buying.

I used to own a 89 GXL and a 81 rx 7. I wrecked the 89 years ago, and the 1st gen died and literally fell apart on me. So, after selling my bike and a tax return I should have a good amount of play money. Here's what I am looking at: 1990 GXL. From the pics it looks clean, but does need some work. Seller states that the vehicle has a new clutch and transmission, but needs new APEX seals. Seller wants less than $1000.

Just posting for some opinions from other RX 7 connoisseurs. Also, any suggestions on what I should have done to the inside of the motor while having it worked on?

I would do the work myself, but I don't have a garage to work out of, and I don't the neighbors would appreciate me having an engine block hanging from the tree. The gf's also not going for working on the engine in the living room.
