Exclamation Car hesitating, anyone experienced this.

I have a 88 na car that is not running right. I have been through almost everything. It is stumbling above 3800 at heavy loads (full throttle). It hesitates but it will still hit redline but it surges up to it. I know that the secondaries turn on at 3800. I have checked them and they are working and are turning on. They have all been cleaned at NAPA. I have changed the ecu and tps and mas. They are all working and are adjusted right. I have a Mazda ecu checker and there are no trouble codes. There are no vacuum leaks. Has anyone ever had this happen? What fixed it. I know that every car is different but I'm willing to listen to anyones experience's. Thanks

When your car stumbles, what exactly does it feel like? Does it sputter and cough like a fuel delivery problem, or just 'cut out' like an electrical issue?

I've been having a similar problem with my FC cutting out on track, and it felt electrical. I got in there and replaced everything that seemed obvious (and some things that didn't). It keept on doing it, despite everything I changed.

Then finally, the car threw the code for the crank angle sensor (easy fix, yay!).

Its a very long shot that you could be having the same issue, but I just thought I'd chime in with mine.

I hope you figure this out soon, a stumbling car is no fun!

I'm not sure it being ele. or fuel pro. The last car I fixed like this was a tps issue. I have put three on this one and no change. I will try the CAS and see what happens. Any more ideas with be welcomed. thanks

Everyone here says that the '88 has a ground problem... Since I have not had this problem, I have not had to fix it so I don't know the specifics... just do the search that "RXgirl7" said and you will find a million threads on it and how to fix it...

Good Luck...
