Car has trouble starting when hot.
Well, I live in Texas, and right now it's probably 105 degrees or greater in direct sunlight, and my car is having trouble starting. For example, I got my hair cut today and left it in the sun for maybe ten minutes, and when I came back out it took three trys for it to even turn over, and the time it worked I had to hold the key forward for more than just a couple seconds. This doesn't happen at all, for example, when I go out to the garage to start it in the morning- it starts up fine. Once I get it started, it runs perfectly. The engine has about 6 to 7k miles.
Anyone know what it might be? Is it just the intense heat out here?

could be...
However regardless of heat, you should be able to turn your key to "start" and it should turn over--->
That could be bad connections at the starter, bad connections at the battery or a dying ignition switch.
As far as it taking a lot of cranking to actually fire it could be a number of things.
I would first do a compression test to see how good it is, that is a major contributor to problems with hot starts. After that, I would question the injectors as sticky injectors or ones that aren't getting a perfectly atomized spray can cause minor flooding and hard starting which is more apparent when its warm.
