searched, but i think i have a unique problem. i have a 91 turbo II. my car was wired with an audiovox alarm by someone who probably didn't know anything. the problem is... sometimes i turn the key and nothing happens, sometimes i turn it and i hear the clicking, and sometimes the car starts right up. i'm not sure, but i think maybe my starter is going bad and maybe the wiring has something to do with it too. i got some info. that said that there's only one place in the alarm wiring that affects the starter and i located it. i think. it looks fine (for what it is) but there's still that problem. any help is appreciated.

 

well i had problem like that but it was with my clutch switch and i took it out and hard wired it and i havent had a problem with it yet so it could be the clutch switch because when i turned the key it clicked, sometimes wouldnt start at all, and sometimes it started right up

 

I've had to replace 2 starters. It ain't the starter its the solinoid.

 

My mom's car did that for a while. It's the starter solinoid.
