My 1987 Rx7 n/a has been running fine before this. But about a couple of days ago i went outside to warm my car (cold start) and it it didn't rev to 3000rpms like it usually does, it just stumbled up to about 2000rpms and drops to 1500rpms. And when i got out the car and took a look at the exhust soe puff of white smoke comes out which usualy doesn't until now. But after it warms up it runs fine.I have no idea whats going on with car. Any feedback would be helpfull thanx in adavance

 

Pull off the AWS and cap the nipples.

because my car does the same thing.

 

The water temp switch at the bottom of the left side of the radiator could possibly have one of its two leads off.

Or the leads to the Air Bypass Solenoid are off.

Or the temperature of the water in the radiator was less than 60 degrees when you went to start the car.

Or the BAC valve is disconnected.

 

Funny thing, this happened to mine today as well. 87 gxl. Is this happening to alot of people?

 

yes it is happening to alot of people. It called cold weather. No aws under about 60 degress.
