Well it may be unrelated but my 7 started taking forver to run over right before my fuel pump died. It would crank so like 10-15 seconds before starting up. I dunno if its the same since you said jumping helped.

Have you checked your spark plugs recently? If they're bad, it will sometimes have trouble starting the car when its cold.

Whenever I have a hard time trying to start my car in the morning, I push the pedal down a bit and wait for it to catch. Works when it's warm too.

i'd watch out in other cars Mura, these cars are fuel injected so they don't require you touch the gas pedal to start it...if you have to then something is wrong with the car, otherwise it would probably flood out pretty fast. just FYI.

no, i mean catch. it will start but then die. when you hold the pedal down, this tells the ecu... ok DUMP ALL THE FUEL IN ITSD GOIN CAPTAIN WE HAVE NO TIME CAPTAIN!!! so scotty beams up the spark deamons to help with the sparking, and the klingons spin the rotors. togeather they help make out world wonderful!!

in all seriousness. sometimes you do need to floow it. because it will catch, then die, and thats when it will get flooded. but what i usually do is wait till it catches, then i floor it.
