was driving in traffic for about an our and the car wouldent revv past 3000rpms without sputtering like crazy stop turned off the car and started it back up ran fine no problems rest the way

so my question is why would it do that?

 

did you have a cel? sounds like it went into a limp mode. so could be a short or ground issues?
