car audio setup for 1987

Alright so, I'm still using my stock FC speakers however, recently i accidentally punctured both the rear speaker cones. Anyways, I've been wanting to change out the entire system for a quite some time now. Does any recommendations on what to get? I listen to a lot of rock music, but then again i do like to get "Jiggy" with it, so i like to listen to rap and hip-hop as well.

Good equipment. If you're like me and want the best, I go with alpines. Alpines are pricey...

there are a lot of good speakers out there. go with a good brand name ,you get what u pay for.. a lot of peaple say one brand is the best well the truth of the matter if one brand was the best all the other brands wouldnt sell and go under. i guess what im sayn its like wine to each his own. myself i like jl audio for sq and craftmanship. i feel alpines are a lil harsh do to there metal tweets. silk tweeters give a slighty warmer highs...

o and remember your car will sound only as good as the worse link....if your your headunit is stock and sounds crappy even 500 dollar speakers will sound like crap
