So lately my cars been doing weird ****. Just the other day i came to a stop at a stopsign and then slowly let out the clutch and it started hopping like the clutch was engaging and disengaging and immediately i put the clutch to the floor and it did it for a good 5 more seconds. Its done this once before and i have no clue why, any thoughs?

Maybe the TO bearing is having some problems or the clutch is a little out of whack. Sounds like you might need some tranny work in a little while.

your flywheel might be out of balance, nut then you would notice it all the time. You might have some loose mountings on the gearbox/drive shaft/diff/clutch etc.

i think that's called clutch chatter.. mine does that too sometimes. in my old rotary rocket magazine that came with the car it said it is normally caused by the flywheel not being replaced or resurfaced when replacing the clutch. in the paper work that came with my car that last clutch job doesn't mention a flywheel or resurface so i imagine it's a good possibility for me at least.

Not sure about in Canada but maybe 40-50 bucks USD??

Its not really that expensive. I think the biggest job will be removing the transmission to get to the flywheel and that big 'ol flywheel bolt too. Definitely a weekend job.
