car is acting like its on crack
ok so i pulled out of a parking lot and mashed the gas. at about 4k the car just lost power and went quiet like it wasnt running but the tach said that it was still at 2.5k or so...so i shifted to 2nd and tried to get on it and for a sec it just stayed bogged or whatever it is doing then it came back to life so i got out of it to try and make it home
i made it home and popped the hood to see if my eng inj fuse was still pugged in.
it was so i went to start the car and with the key on every single idiot light was on and so was the shift up light which never comes on.
i drove the car around the block and every time i get on the gas at any rpm it acts the same way..then when i hit the clutch the car dies....i dont know what the **** is wrong....someone help!!!!!
btw it an 86 base 5spd

i say to it to a rehab/corectional facility to get it off drugs...
jk. fuel filter? clogged injectors? hmmm... dont sound like a blown motor... a compression check wont hurt...
do a basic tune up maybe?...

In a way it sounds electrical..Check belts check connections at battery/test battery alternator..Wouldn't hurt either to Look at your Afm Connection and also the Gas Filter..IF you find that your car dies,and you have to Boost it,definitely Alternator.

it still starts. i just havnt tried driving it other than moving it in the drive way. but when i did start it all the idiot lights didnt come on...but it cranks over really easy and sounds way different and takes longer to start... but maybe im just paranoid about the way it sounds, cuz any time my car makes an odd noise im always like WTF Was that!?!?!??!?!!??!?!?

I would definately test the alternator and the battery to be 100% sure... Because a couple of days ago. My alternator belt broke on me, and I was on the freeway then when I got off I was about to stop and the car died on me.... I was like wtf! So yeah, I would check if its not alt or batt problems....... just to be safe...
