cap off intake vaccum

ok, so heres something interesting. today, while messing with my car, i decided to find a better solution for my emissions removal leaving the vaccum nipples to deal with. so, instead of putting the rubber caps over the nipples, i have a super easy solution. i had bought some new allen screws for my CAS cover, and had about 40 extra ones laying around, and by a whim, found them to be the perfect size. with the purchase of a tap (size 4x0.7 i believe) the allen bolts go right in the the UIM nipples.
so, i figured id put that up in case anyone is randomly searching for a better solution (reason being, at about 20psi, the caps start to FLY off of the intake...and the allen bolts will stay in place much better, being threded into place!)

you used a 4mm with .7 thread pitch? So I guess you took off the upper manifold to do this? Not a bad idea. I was thinking about taking out hte metal nipple and welding over it, but it woulda taken some time

yeah, i was replacing a turbo part, and just had the upper manifold sitting out, so i figured id do something about the caps. it only took about 30 minutes to do, and looks way cleaner/safer than those caps. ill think about getting some pics with my phone later..

Hmm... 20 psi you say? I'm running a stock 13bt with emmisions removed and banjo bolt mod and it keeps blowing the vac caps off.... Good info though, looks like I may be doing this.
