Cap or bypass heater core?
My heater core sprung a leak and is luckily draining more out of the car than onto the carpet.
I'm wondering if there woudl be any ill effects from capping the engine to firewall and firewall to radiators lines instead of just bypassing the core and connecting the two?
Running a coolant line around the engine would be teh suck compared to just capping them.

only if you turn it on. Otherwise it shoudl be closed off.
I have my cooling system almost perfect right now.
It's been 114 outside and my temps wouldn't pass 195-200.

So do you really have to remove the damn dash to replace the heater core?
f so then this will probably be a perm fix becaue a dash removal wopuld be teh suck.
