cant start my car...help me out guys.

alright, ive been working on my project 7 for alittle over a year now and ive finnally gotten to the point of completion.

okay, its a 1990 gxl with a s5 turbo ii jdm swap. We kept trying to start it up for about 30mins, ofcourse after letting the starter cool off every now and then, but anyway, it finnally turned over a few times, maybe 3 at the most...then it stoped turning over...

the next week after that, i tried to crank it, it took some time, but it turned over and ran for like 10secs at normal idle, but after that, now, it wont even give a single *Thump* like its not even trying to kick over...

im thinking its flooded, btw, im using a n374 ecu lol... =/

im trying my n351 as im typing this up...and still no thump...so im still guessing its flooded...it has good compression btw...

who can tell me whats wrong and who can tell me how to get it going???

i need you arron cake! lol

You could check your fuel pump/EGI fuses. If it is flooded just pull the EGI fuse and crank it with the gas peddle down to get the gas out of the rotor housings. There is a good chance that you messed up your plugs aswell.

oh yeah, it keeps fooling my plugs btw...lol, i just tried my N351 ecu, AND it ran better than it ever has!!! it ran for about 15 secs and the cold start was working well too... SO THE N374 AS WELL DOES NOTTTTTT WORK FOR ME EITHER! =D (do NOT buy one!)

fuel pump is good, and i have a hks boost cut on it...so would holding the peddle down even work???? haha

but i keep having to take the plugs out and clean them..

is there any other way to unflood the motor??/

i think im not fully unflooding it (im just turning it over with the fuel line held off) and im putting the plugs back in at the wrong times, and it keeps fouling them...

any other suggestions haha??? but i believe i can figure it out hah, but i still want comments! =D

One cure for the flooding problem is to add a fuel pump cut switch. Just turn the fuel pump off till it starts then turn it back on when it starts to run. Just go through the basics like re checking timing and vacuum connections etc. The HKS boost cut won't have an effect on holding the peddle down. Eventually you will need to either buy the chip to fix the N374 ECU you have, or get a N370 to be able to drive it normally.

oh yes haha, im getting a n370 now lol, but thanx though, i was thinking about that fuel pump switch too haha, vacuum and time is great, ive rechecked it alot =D

i have brand new ngk plugs coming in today, and the plugs im using are old and from the n/a motor and the ones that came with the jdm 13bt, and i had some spare ones that came with the car too...so i think everyone of them plugs are old and bad and just wont give enough spark...

but i just might have to make a switch =]

uurggggg!!! its soooo close....
