cant push in clutch

i just did a t2 swap but left na driveline(na flywheel and back) i broke the slave cylinder when jacking up the tranny to guide in the motor. i bought a new one and began to bleed the clutch. it took a very long time but when it was finally bled the clutch was rock hard. i checked the clutch fork and it wouldnt budge. i know ill have to pull the motor again to find out what it is, but does anybody else have a clue or past experience that will save me time???

Check out the transmission fork. It could be stuck on some debris or it could have malfunctioned.

when the motor and tranny were installed? Do you mean there was zero play in it? or that you couldn't push it back? Because good luck pushing it back by hand.....

Make sure that the clutch is indeed bled properly before pulling the tranny out. If it is bled correctly then pull out the tranny and inspect the fork for, as mentioned, hangups and debris as well as the throw out bearing. Its possible it could just be worn out and jamming on the shaft.

i think what happened is when you put the engine in. the clutch fork was on the outside of the throw out bearing. pull them back apart, and remove the throw out bearing push the fork back. and reinstall the throw out bearing..

That sounds viable, I'd give that a shot.
