Can't open from outside or inside door handle?
Boy, you're fucked.

If this is the case, it's this stupid *** spring on the latch assembly on the door jamb.&nbsp The spring is about 1" long and 1/4" in diameter - who'd think this stupid small spring can cause so much of a headache.

If the door is closed, this makes it even worse.&nbsp You need to be able to pry the door skin off the inside of the door to get to the latch.&nbsp If you can "trip" the latch from the top (with the window down), then you can eliminate this potentially damaging step!&nbsp Once you trip the latch, the door should pop open.&nbsp The hard part is putting a replacement spring back on!&nbsp Shine a flashlight inside the door by the latch - you should see the spring hanging on just one side - this is what you need to replace.&nbsp I have found replacement springs from the local Eagle Hardware & Garden chain home improvement store eith very little fuss.

It won't work - you can't even slim-jim it open.

What happens is that the spring that'll pop the catch is broken, so the latch is permanently in the closed position.&nbsp The linkage is not directly connected - it's weird.

If anyone figures out another way to open the door, I'm all ears!

I was thinking ... lock the other door, don't mention a thing about the handle ... after they play with it a while... and probably not get it open ... you grab the handle and say "WTF man .. now may handle is jacked up, what did you do?" make him thing he knocked the spring off... then have there asses pay to fix it

just a thought .. that way if they **** anything up they fix it . instead of you ******* up the door panel.

I agree I don't bullshit anyone ... ever. But if I was it would be a tow truck driver. I just can't stand those fuggers for some reason. (no offence if anyone here is one) they RIP you OFF if you don't have AAA, have you ever payed the cash price for a tow? Those prices are just bullshit! I got towed 8 miles one time. $131! and another time $190 cause they cops called the tow in.... I told them; "I flagged down a cop and asked him to call a tow truck for me" they said "sorry thats a cop calling it in +$75 on regular tow fee. ... I was just trying to save myself a walk to a payphone.

********. I will rip-off anyone who wrong's me .. even though 2 wrongs don't make a right.

Also .. that first guy asked me for a tip after paying $131 for a 8 mile tow... I told him "I'll give you a tip; get the **** out of here"

Then my buddy was getting his truck towed on a flatbed one time ... the crack addict tow driver didn't hook up his truck right .. it fell off the tow truck and bent the frame ... ruined his truck, it was never the same.

I'm telling you .. those guys are worthless!

Yeah this has happened to me twice in the last few months. IF you can get the window down, you can see the problem, by checking the movement against the one on the other side of the car. You will have to get teh dorpanel off tho. You can do it by taking all the screws out of it and working the back of it loose. you cant take it OFF because there is a screw in the front, top corner holding it on behind the ac vent.

Get your arm in there, and youll feel a large tab sticking out about halfway in teh middle of the latch assembly. Right below that tab is a smaller tab...it needs to get pushed. Cant rigth off remember which way, but down I think.

When you think you have it in the right spot, push out on the door, it will prolly not pop open even if you release it.

Damn... im pissed now! You got me on tow trucks... Sorry for the off topic, last story I promise.

I went to my ex-GF's house one nite kinda late, I had, had a few beers... I didn't even notice the signs in her appartment complex that I later found out said "no parking, they were repaving the whole place in the morning" So I parked my 85 First gen in the same spot i always parked in ... I wake up haung over in the morning and hear all this fukin noise... I finally get up to look ... the ******* got my old 7 hooked up to a tow truck. I went runing out in nothing but my boxer shorts, I said "hey WTF is going on?" he said .. didnt you read the sign .. no parking here today .. we are repaving .. we had to call a tow truck you car is in the way. "I said "no I didnt see the F-in sign It was dark .. you F-in paper sign don't have lights on them" he got shitty with me.... said this call came from dispatch .. he had to tow the car, I told him .. "Dude your towing my car over your dead fukin body .. your choise." He decided he wanted to go home to his family that nite .. and finally put my car down.

******!

tow truck drivers+security guards=scams galore

i caught a tow truck driver towing my car one night, im a resident in a condo. the security guard manager (not the guy on the golf cart) is over seeing the whole thing, so i peacefully walk up to him to explain HIS mistake ( with the knowledge of an inside scoop given to me by one of his previous employees who was about to quit because of the bullshit policies), which is this....the more tows the security manager calls in...the more bonus money he gets from the tow truck co....meaning if the parking lot has 1000 cars in it...(well you see the possibilities) if your like me then you think...whatever..this is not possible in america! so i call the cops and report to them i see someone stealing my car. when the cops come they point out to me the sign that says blah blah security co. can authorize any towing at any time (standard sign at the entrance to just about every condo/apt, or any organized living community) so the cop says if fernando (the security manager) calls in a tow we have to back him up. i show them that im a resident with my drivers license..they say well carlos says you were illegally parked so! then i show them my buyers agreement, and all of the by-laws(which proved me to be parked legally) they go over to pablo and have a secret talk for a minute then come back with the same story...if rico calls it in we have to back it up..

simply stating this. tito wants more money this month or is getting pressed by the tow truck company..well then there is nothing i or anyone in this communitty can do at 3 in the morning, other than wake up an hour before work, go to the lot and pay 130 dollars to get back property of yours which was stolen the night before...all legally.

i know you are thinking im bsing...i wouldve thought the same thing before i read between all the lines.

bottom line is look at the tow trucks , for example, the tow truck is usually worth 50,000 bucks plus. looks reputable on the road, so if you see it on the road you think this is a clean company, they take care of their trucks so my car will be in good hands. this is the same company that steals your car in the middle of the night with a 50,000 dollar rig and takes it to a 50.00 dollar outhouse of an office and parks your sportscar on a bed of rocks and **** that costs you 1000.00 in paint alone just to bring your cherry ride back to what will never be factory condition again!!

not to mention the people who drive the trucks. i dont want to be stereotypical but cmon id rather have my kids be babyst by a hungry lion than a tow truck driver.

look at all the facts...tow truck drivers/companies in general might as well be terrorists...alll scum suckers looking for a chance to **** you in the *** to better themselves.

i could go on for hours and i want to, but i wont!!
