can't make stock boost?!

well i just finished breaking in my motor. its an S5 with S5 turbo. i ported the hell out of the wastegate. when i give it WOT in ANY gear i don't see any higher then 4.5psi. stock is supposed to be 7.5-8psi if i'm not wrong.

my question is, did i make the WG too efficient? i'm running stock intake and TID with a full 3" exhaust (3" DP, presilencer, and Apexi N1 single). any idea's why i'm not making full boost like i should?

i actually kind of like this though since that means that i don't have to worry about spikes and creeping on the stock turbo. i do have a boost controller that i haven't installed and will have the boost on 8psi daily with a 13psi high boost setting.

dude 13 psi hope you have fuel mods.... anyway there was no reason to port the wastegate as the s5 turbo's wastegate is already quite efficient. it will sit at around 8 psi all day no matter what exhaust mods have been done is what i've heard. so really there was no point in porting the wastegate (i think. don't hold me to it, just going off what i've been told)

stock boost is like 7-8 on s5s btu only when you haev the stock boost controller. stock boost other wise it 5.5. i dont see how yours could be less since wastegate doesnt open till 5psi. your gague is probally wrong.

i do have fuel mods, enough to handle 13psi easy. the reason i ported the S5 WG was because it wasn't flowing enough. i was getting spikes to 15psi on the last motor which is why it blew. so the S5 WG in stock form isn't efficient enough to handle a full 3" turbo back exhaust.

i'm hooking up my boost controller this week since the motor is broke in now so i'll set it to 8psi and see what happens. i still am confused as to why it doesn't boost to at least 5psi though...
