Can't fix steering wheel beep beep beep beep beep >_<
I put an efini steering wheel on my FC, I modified it so that it fits perfectly, I got in my car and I got the 'steering wheel incorrectly installed' 5 repeating beeps warning. I've spent the last few months constantly re-adjusting the steering wheel but I couldnt get it on straight since theres play in the steering wheel. I talked to a friend who has owned a few rx7's and he suggested that I get a front wheel alignment and that should fix my problem, well it didn't and now I'm going insane thanks to the constant beeping, I heard that the speaker that's making the beeps is in the instrument panel, I was wondering if anyone had a diagram so that I can de-solder the speaker because I'm at my wits end.

If you take the cluster out and flip it around it's a small white square with holes arranged in a circle like a speaker grill. In an s4 anyways I'm not positive on an s5. It's pretty easy to spot. Soon as this monsoon of a rain storm I'm getting subsides I will run to barn and flip over one of my extras and snap you a pic.

FSM=Factory Service Manual.
Do you have an airbag with the Efini wheel? I'm betting not. The beeping is due to removing the airbag, at least on FDs it is like that. You'll need a resistor to plug into the airbag connector from the clockspring, Works Bells sells them or you can make your own. If you don't want to go that route, find the ecu for the Airbag system (SRS i believe) and unplug the pair of connectors. Beeping gone.
