I believe they're normally connected between the turbo & intercooler as shown here:

However, they should be connected between the throttle body and intercooler, as shown here:

Interesting. I would think a pop off valve would be closets to the throttle body (last resort) and BOV closets to the turbo (1st line of defense)

This is the GReddy BOV kit for the car.&nbsp The adapter pips is kinda hard to see, but you clearly see the position of the GReddy Type-S BOV.

isn't "pop off" valve another name for "bow off" valve?

Blow-Off Valve: Vents pressure when the throttle plates close on deceleration so that a pressure reversion wave does not upset the turbocharger.

Bypass Valve: A blow-off valve which vents back to the turbo to reduce noise and to recirculate the air in an AFM-equiped system so that the correct air-fuel ratio is maintained by the ECU.

Pop-Off Valve: Vents pressure above a pre-set max value to act as a safety device or boost-limiting device independent of the wastegate.

The best place to put a BOV is wherever it fits, LOL. Other than that, it is best placed where the air is at its lowest velocity just prior to venting, which means either right after the turbo, or right before the throttle body. If used as a bypass valve, the BOV is usually best placed close to the turbo to reduce the recirculation plumbing.
