can't exceed 6500rpms in 3rd gear?

I don't know what is going on, I can't get past 6500rpms without the car pushing me back as if there is a governor or something.
Does anyone have any clue as to what is happening?? please help me...

had the same prob. 95% sure it is your TPS. Mine did it in all gears. If it is a turbo and modded with exhaust, intake, dp, then it could be fuel cut. I would put money on TPS though.

If someone pushes you around, push back. Get the tire iron out and push back. Seriously, check the timing with a lite first. Then check the fuel pressure in the fuel rails. Make sure your plug wires are on right. Leads to leads trails to trails. Make sure the secondary injector plugs are connected good. They are basicly just under the black intake air duct. New fuel filter perhaps? That ought to take care of Sunday for you. If you get up real, real early.
