Can't clear codes 30 and 3?
Car is NA '90 GTU with manifold-back Bonez exhaust mods (no cat) and a Bonez air intake mod.
Decided to clear some of the error codes in my ECU and went through the process of removing the neg cable from the battery and holding down the brake pedal for 10 secs. Several codes related to my removal and re-installation of air intake components (forgot to hook things back up before starting the car) cleared but codes #30 and #3 will not clear after several attempts. Thirty being the Split Air Solenoid Valve and #3 being the Crank Angle Sensor (G-signal).
The car has no cat converter which I guess could account for the #30 code, but the timing is spot on and the advance works as intended so I don't understand the #3 code. BTW, the car runs very strong and the only problem is a tendency to shutter, nearly stalling, when letting up on the gas.
Any input on why these code will not clear would be appreciated. I have not started the car since attempting the clear if that matters.
Thanks,
