Question Degrading Electronic Components

Story, 1990 GXL, loaded...

The electronics worked GREAT when I first got the car; the windows went up and down without a hitch, the sun roof did have to be pushed up JUST a tad to get it up but after that it was fine, the seat belts worked without a problem (minus the drivers side which is inactive for some reason). Also, I see that there’s a recall out for the seat belts, if my drivers side one doesn’t work will they fix that?

Now, the windows seem like they want to stop midway going up but they eventually PUSH through it seems like, the passenger side seat belt gets slower and slower and it got to the point yesterday where I had to push it to get it going, very embarrassing when I'm showing people my car.

So, my question is, is there something I’m doing wrong, is there a reason why they would all of a sudden stop working well and start acting crappy?

Also, my idle has all of a sudden gotten worse, it was partially bad before all this started happening, it would go down to 600 RPM’s with the lights on if I hit the brakes but it would eventually go back up (I could make the lights dim with the brake lights). Is it the BAC Valve not functioning right? I got into the car today and it actually dipped so low that the car stalled for a second but did shoot back up the rpms and kept running; basically I had to heat the engine up just a tad for the idle to smooth out.

I’ve got a TPS Tester from my first generation, will it work? Is it the same procedure?

Thanks ahead of time!

Don't just up the power to fix the windows, that is just a bandaid for a problem.

You either have goo on the rails for the window that is making them stick or a crappy switch. If you take apart the window switches it's fairly easy to tell how they work. You will see where the contacts are all fried from so much arcing electricity and you'll need some pretty strong contact cleaner to clean it all off. I did it, works like brand new.

Well, I'm kind of hesitant to take off the switches because they are so fragile, the passenger side one is missing due to that fact.
