is there a way to improve on the stock ignition system? like rewiring the fuel pump to put it back to stock numbers. how would you do that wuith ignition? and is there a point?

yeah if its working right over time the wiring corrodes, just like the fuel system is good to 230 or whatever i was told, but when your fuel pump only sees 10 volts out of 12-14 it stops being so efficient
also about 1/2 our gas goes out the exaust, so i think it'd be good to burn that gas better

Bro, I dont think the stock pump can flow 500+, you must be thinking of the supra pump, which is close to the flow of a walbro 255 (which is good for 500hp)

just a thought, imo, if youve got money to throw around get a walbro anyway... safe of mind that its a new pump, and like mossimopooky said that they are good for 500hp... its only $100 then you dont have to worry about it...
so kinda like a Direct Fire Ignition system kinda like the 1st gen guys do huh... poke around there and there might be something... i duno why upgrading to an MSD ignition would be a bad thing (agian, i duno, keep me posted if you find somthing)
