Can you replace Reg shocks with AAS shocks?
I have a set of Regular Stock Shocks.I also have a set of the Auto adjust suspension Shocks. As far as I can tell the only Difference is the Actuators that When powered, turn the Valving of the shock One way or another(Normal or Sport). Can I replace the Regular Shocks and NOT use the Actuators?..And if so can I just Set the Shocks to Either the Sport or Normal Mode By hand, and leave them in that Mode.will they return to the "other mode" if the actuator is NOt on the shock to Keep it in that Mode?..Like the AGX shocks(aftermarket Ones)??..I am planning on putting on Lowering springs.so any help With this would be greatfully appreciated.Thank you Gentlemen...STYX~.

Thanks for your reply NCross. The Car that I intend on putting the Shocks On has No Wiring for the auto adjusting suspension.(it is a GX).I got the Shocks AAS shocks from a Buddy, and he has always given me Working Parts!,So I am Expecting the Shocks to be good too...QUESTION:is it not the Actuators that go bad?..anyhow,the car is going to Get Dropped, one way or another.I just wanted to know if I could get "bonus suspension" by using the AAS Shocks. Thanks again..STYX~.

Usually the harnesses in every S4 or S5 have the wiring for everything. Its cheaper to make one harness. I have an s4 se and I have wiring for the AAS, cruise, power windows, power mirrors, amp stereo system, oem electric fan and a few others.
Yet I don't have any of that except power mirrors which I installed and sunroof that came with the car.

all the AAS shocks are so worn out these days they're essentially useless. you MIGHT notice a difference with BRAND new ones, but im sure they cost as much as coilovers would.
