Can you re-wrap a Momo?

I have a beat up old Momo Corse wheel that I like the look of very much, came with the shell I got.

I want to keep it, but I can't afford a new one... and the grip is bursting at the seams from baking in the heat too long, so it's ruined in that respect.

Can I get it re-wrapped? It's not like a normal wheel where they have wrap all around... but I don't know anything about rewrapping.

Find your best local stitching shop...people that will do convertible tops, seats, door panels etc... and try them. It's still probably a long shot, but that would be my best guess.

I tried this on an older momo wheel I found at a junkyard..

I came to the conclusion that it is expensive and hard to do...

Most of my local leather shops would not do it.

But, we probably have the same wheel, and its my fav..

Don't know if this will work, but might be worth a shot...

Pay $30 or whatever for a leather wheel wrap from Wheelskins... The leather is actually better quality than I thought it would be.

Cut it to fit the parts of the Momo that are leather,, and lace it on... You may want to put a small bead of glue around the very outside of the rim to hold it in place while you lace it.

Just make sure to make really small knots, and tuck them under the leather as much as you can... Otherwise, the little lumps at the end of the patch could probably get kinda annoying!!!
