can you blowthrough an s4 afm like a maf

im wondering if i can run a blowthrough setup on a s4 afm instead of pulling through like stock. reason is because of a turbo upgrade and i dont think ill have enough room to run piping for the afm in front of the turbo with turbo being 4in inlet and like six inches more forward than stock . worked fine with the t04b but now im goin t67 and it massive size leads me to believe there will be trouble runnung it the same way. anybody else have any similar problems.

Uh... why not run a standalone with a map sensor? ESPECIALLY if you're going to be running a t67.

+1. they do it in japan a lot. the S4 afm can leak vacuum/boost, so that, and the fact that its hooked up to a stock ecu make high boost a bad idea

I just went through this problem.
my AFM is right at the turbo.I didn't have the room to put a Filter on.and my E-Fan shroud prevented my from doing anything Normal,So I had to 'get Newfie' and think up something.
I took some IC pipe and a Ebay aluminum AFM adapter and a K&N filter and Voila!..I got me a 200 dollar intake!!.
it looks Real Bitchin!.I can post a pic on the thread.I just need to take a shot of it.,I just put it in today.
