Can someone tell me what this is?

Hey guys i put up a post last week and didnt get much of a response. Im having some fuel issues in my car i went over a wooden bridge that was fairly rough and my car just turned off, when you turn the key to the "on" position you cant hear the fuel pump anymore. The car tries to turn over and everything else works but it seems my fuel pump isnt getting any power i have checked all the fuses etc. The car is running a microtech lt8 ecu if anyone is familiar with it. Now here is a pic of something that may/may not have something to do with it, when i got the new engine put in all the emissions gear was removed so i have no idea what it is but the way the car died seems like something may have come loose this runs straight out of one of the looms (dunno if its the microtech loom or not) and its back near the firewall area

It doesn't look like an inertia switch. Looks like one of the switches that connects to the tranny.

I would check the FSM under the transmission.

Good luck.

that little tab that you are holding goes to the Tranny Slave cylinder bolt.the Other end fits onto a a Spade connector up on the Firewall, just around by the Wiper motor bolts.(more towards the Center of the Firewall)..I believe it is like a ground.

It bolts to the firewall. That's found in the FAQ's.

I dont believe it uses the firewall as ground but more as a heatsink so it doesnt get to hot.

Unless there are two of these stock, the only one I remember seeing plugs into the driver's side wiring harness near the firewall and is grounded on that side of the car (I've heard several ideas about where it is attached stock, there should be something official in the 2nd gen FAQ).

The ground wire from the transmission bellhousing to the firewall near the passenger side is just a straight wire on the 3 FCs I own. Not the thing in the picture that there have been hundreds of posts about.
