I'd buy it of you got the money...
One of the sweetest engines you can havem and itll take nitrous or a supercharger.
Maybe a turbo with a aftermarket engine computer.

I've been watching this company for a while. They rotate engines through eBay every week or so, and I can't tell much from their feedback reputation, none of which makes any comment about the engines. So, on paper, the engine looks good? I think so, too. I wonder how high the reserve is.

Buy it. Now. A street ported Series IV should put out 180-190 hp. N20, or a turbo would be an extra $600-$1k, and you could have a VERY fun car. A buddy of mine had his TII engine rebuilt, streetported, and Hurley 3mm seals, basically the same engine you are looking at, and it cost him $2500. Do the math.

This is my plan for this idea:
I was going to rebuild the original 103k engine that came *with* my car. (Not in it.) Because the previous owner dropped a 60k '86 in there and I know its days are numbered in the long run. (That is to say, years are numbered.) These engines, from this company, come around often but now I'm seriously considering buying it towards the end of the summer. Have the engine in the car just in time to transfer schools. I hope. I need to find another source of income or something.
You saw my last post, I'm about to drop quite a bit of money into my exhaust system just so it's safe to drive
