can someone give me a hand here
hey guys i have had my fc now for two weeks i finally can put it aside because my wifes car is coming out the shop and i can get my run-a-bout back. i want to do some things to the fc before winter starts! i was wondering (as easy as this sounds) if someone can give me some kind of a link or something that can give me the steps on how to change the secondary injectors? because i am sending out my ecu this week to get the rtec 1.7 so i need to install the 720cc injectors, i have them and i want to install them. i have never played with the 13b motor before and this is my first fc and i am really scared of messing something up so if someone can give me a link or something i would like that a lot thanks guys

well there is lots of vaccume hoses.... if you go slow and mark the hoses as you pull them off you should be ok.
you will need
screw drivers,
10, 12, and 14 sockets and a wrench for them.
something to tag the lines with to mark where they go.
you can do juat about anything on our cars if you have 10, 12, and 14mm tools
there is 4 bolts and two couplers holding the tmic on.
six bolts or so holding the UIM on. plus vaccume hoses all over the freakin place.
there is a large vaccume hose on the back on the UIM that goes to the brake booster.
once the uim is off the top fuel rail is the secondary one. two bolts hold it on.
replace the o-rings and rubber gromets while your doing it.
I would also replace the stock spring clamps with the "fuel injection" type clamps from advance auto. they are like mini t-bolt clamps... not the cam type. cam type work too.
use the search feature for some more threads about it.
Its really not that bad.
im sure i may have missed something... depends on how stock your setup is... someone might have changed stuff in the past 15 years.

i have found that the hardest part of the whole process is this stupid little coolant line going from the rear iron to the throttle body, its a real bitch!
get a longer hose for instalation because going back on is just as hard as coming off

The easiest way I found to keep me out of trouble is to take lots of pics with a digital camera. That helps alot when dealing with the many vac lines one the FC. Just redid all of my vac lines with silicone hose, you should think about that too such you're taking the UIM off, might as well.

Might want to consider other stuff while you are under there too. New fuel lines for one, mine looked pretty brittle and I regret not replacing them when I had to service my injectors. I would definitely go into it with the intention of at least putting new vac lines and fuel lines. Consider the pulsation damper as well, thats a bit more expensive though, but if it fails its trouble.
Getting everything off is kind of a pain, and getting those little vac lines back on, is even more of a pain. Especially the stuff that is right on the firewall, and down in there, I actually removed my hood completely to do the work and it helped give me some room to manuever.
Oh, not sure how the s4's are, but I had a little intake air thermosensor with fragile prongs that had a connector attached to it. Well, I took the connector off while removing stuff, got a little rough, and ended up breaking off the prongs! So just be a little careful with all the wires and little fragile stuff.

you will need the extra fuel to make more power. go 1.7 and put the injectors in.,
where do you live? try to find someone thats near by that can help.
