blew the ball joint on my s5 and junk yarded a used one since i dont want to pay mazda $500 for a new control arm. can i use s4 arm with replacable ball joints instead? is there any benifit/disadvantage to using s4 arms other than the replaceable ball joints?

 

pretty sure they are interchangeable. another reason why s4's are better than s5's

thanks. i thought they would just wanted to be sure. mazda where i am in canada wants $561.98 retail and i can get it for $477.68 but thats too much. trying to get my 85 done up and then broke my s5.

 

i've got a few sets of s4 control arms if you need them...

 

s5's are integrated.s4 are replaceable..that is why the s5 guys go with S4 lower control arms..

 

I did the swap, and the end links for the sway bar were different between my S5s and the used S4s that I bought here on the forum.

 

The control arms are interchangable but I think you may have to change the endlinks on the sway bar too.
