After warming up the car will smoke a little, but i realized while i was standing there watching the car start to smoke a little, i realized my eyes were BURNING!!

The smoke is not enought to to go flowing across the street but kinda vaporizes.

I also tried this trick my firned taught me.( i put a lighter right under the tip of the exhaust so it wouldnt get blown out--- and i soon and i flicked the lighter the flame actually goes into the exhaust can about 2 inches instead of blowing out.)

so im pretty sure im too rich at idle. the smoke is greyish

i just recently put a stage 3 hybrid on it. could a bigger turbo cause a rich mixture?

the turbo is the only thing i have done.. since it started smoking a little.

 

ok. now im pissed. its runing rich but also-- when i free rev it to 7k on the down rev it smokes nasty. i got a feeling my hybrid is donefor, and needs a rebuild. CRAPPPP!!!

 

Yeah sounds like a major rich condition at idle, that'll cause fuel smoke. Same as when you go WOT running pig rich, you'll see fuel smoke. You got bigger injectors or a chip/custom cal/etc?

 

Rich = black smoke..

 

Basicly im trying to figure out if my turbo is good or bad at this moment.

need to know if the smoke is from a) a bad turbo seal or b) too rich from just installing a hybrid turbo.

Oh and i have not gone WOT since i have a bigger turbo with no boost controller nor and added fuel upgrades- yet

I was saying i reved it to 7 k. free reving. and on down rev it smoked pretty darn bad.
